EMPATHY is an independent free service offering counselling to members of Jewish families who are struggling to come to terms with the end of a relationship, be it a marriage or partnership.
EMPATHY recognises that when a relationship ends the effects are felt not only by the couple themselves but also by their parents and children.
What does EMPATHY Counselling offer?
A regular time and place to talk, be listened to, heard and understood. An opportunity to explore emotional difficulties. A non-directive and non-judgemental approach with a counsellor who enables self understanding and personal growth.
Counselling can help you to cope with a crisis. It can also help you to clarify, express and explore your thoughts and feelings, so that you can arrive at your own decisions.
It is a way to facilitate choice, enable change, reduce confusion and discover ways of living more resourcefully, developing personal awareness and increasing self-confidence. Counselling gives an opportunity to speak freely and confidentially about personal concerns.
All EMPATHY Counsellors are CRB checked, have a degree or diploma in counselling and are accredited or working towards accreditation, by UKCP, BACP, UKCP, AHPP or other recognised accrediting organisation. All sessions are conducted in the strictest confidence and are non-judgemental.
The counselling service is free, although donations are welcomed
